USE - The flanking DNA and specific primer are useful for detection of transgenic corn (claimed).
ADVANTAGE - The flanking DNA: is suitable for detection of transgenic maize GT1 rich in alpha -tocopherol (including parent, hybrid F1 and offspring) and its products (including plants, tissues, seeds and their products).
DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for
(1) specific primers for detecting the DNA, comprising nucleotide sequence as Nos forward primer: 5'-atgattagagtcccgcaattatac-3',and GT1 reverse primer: 5'-gggatctgtcgatcgacaag-3'; and
(2) detecting transgenic corn event GT1, comprising carrying out PCR reaction by using the primers, using total DNA of the sample as a template, and determining results according to the electrophoretic fragment of the PCR product, if 438 bp fragment is amplified, then the result is positive.
