NOVELTY - Double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) or its salt used in an adjuvant, is new. The dsRNA has a weight average chain length 0.1-2 kilobase pair (kbp). The first strand of the dsRNA consists of two or more single-stranded RNA (ssRNA), where all of the two or more ssRNAs constituting the first strand are homopolymers composed of homologous ribonucleotides. The second strand of dsRNA consists of one ssRNA and a nucleotide sequence complementary to the ssRNA of the first strand to the extent that it can form a duplex with each of two or more ssRNAs constituting the first strand.
USE - The dsRNA or its salt is used in immunostimulatory substance, adjuvant or pharmaceutical product (claimed) for vaccine, animal drug, veterinary drug and fisheries medicines.
