外文摘要:Compositions for coating microneedles with aluminum-adjuvanted vaccines are provided comprising an aluminum-containing wet gel suspension selected from aluminum hydroxide wet gel suspension and aluminum phosphate wet gel suspension; a vaccine in an amount effective to stimulate an immune response in a mammal; a sugar, sugar alcohol, or combinations thereof; and a thickener. Some embodiments of the compositions have a viscosity of 500 to 30,000 cps when measured at 100s-1 and temperature of 25 C. Microneedle devices coated with the compositions, as well as methods of forming the compositions and coating the microneedles, and methods of maximizing the aluminum content of vaccine-coated microneedle arrays are also provided.
NOVELTY - Composition comprises (a) aluminum comprising wet gel suspension chosen from aluminum hydroxide wet gel suspension and aluminum phosphate wet gel suspension, (b) vaccine to stimulate an immune response in mammal, (c) sugar, sugar alcohol, or their combinations, and (d) thickener, where the composition has viscosity of 500-30000 cps when measured at 100/s and temperature of 25 degrees C.
USE - The composition is useful for coating microneedles with aluminum adjuvant comprising coating formulations.
 
主权项:INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following:
(1) device comprising microneedle array, which comprises substrate and several microneedles, and composition coated on at least portion of one or more microneedles;
(2) method (M1) for forming an aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation, involves providing first aluminum comprising wet gel suspension, concentrating aluminum comprising wet gel suspensi! on to produce second aluminum comprising wet gel suspension, and mixing at least one vaccine into second aluminum comprising wet gel suspension to stimulate an immune response in a mammal to form aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation; and
(3) method (M2) for maximizing aluminum content of vaccine coated microneedle array, involves (a) providing microneedle array, forming aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation by providing a first aluminum comprising wet gel suspension, (b) concentrating aluminum comprising wet gel suspension to produce second aluminum comprising wet gel suspension, (c) mixing at least one vaccine into the second aluminum comprising wet gel suspension to stimulate an immune response in a mammal to form aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation, and (d) bringing at least a portion of several microneedles into contact with the aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation, for transferring at least portion of aluminum adjuvanted vaccine formulation to microneedle! array to form a wet-coated microneedle array.
