USE - The immunostimulant is useful as food or drink composition for exhibiting antibody production promoting activity, cytokine production promoting activity, and macrophage activation (all claimed). The immunostimulant is useful for preventing cancer or infectious disease. The cancer is lung cancer, liver cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, renal cancer, pancreatic cancer, thyroid cancer, prostatic cancer, ovarian cancer, uterine cancer or osteocarcinoma. The infectious disease is disease caused by hepatitis virus, influenza virus, HIV, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, hemolytic Streptococcus or Mycoplasma. The cytokines include interleukin, interferon, chemokine, lymphokine, hematopoietic factor, cell growth factor, cytotoxic factor, adipokine, and neurotrophic factor.
