Distance sensors (126, 128, 164, 166) are mounted to the agricultural vehicle (100) to sense a distance (131, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142, 144) between the front wheels (114, 116), and the adjacent row crops (102, 104, 106, 108), and between the rear wheels (120, 122), and the adjacent row crops (102, 104, 106, 108). Automatic steering control signals are generated to automatically steer the front wheels (114, 116), and rear wheels (120, 122), based upon the sensed distances (131, 132, 134, 136, 138, 140, 142, 144).
