外文摘要:The present invention discloses a system and a method for controlling pests such as snails in a paddy field. The system comprises a set of environment sensors (100) for providing parameter values associated with ambient temperature, relative humidity and level of water of the said paddy field; a microcontroller (200) connected to the set of environment sensors (100) for receiving sensor signals indicative of the ambient temperature, the relative humidity and the level of water, wherein the microcontroller (200) compares the parameter values against respective thresholds to obtain a real-time environmental condition indicative of pest activity level within the said paddy field, wherein the microcontroller (200) generates a trigger signal embedding the real-time environmental condition for transmission to a user's wireless communication device; and an ultrasonic transducer (300) for generating and transmitting an ultrasonic wave of a predetermined frequency in response to an instruction signal transmitted from the said user's wireless communication device, wherein the ultrasonic wave carrying ultrasonic vibration causes cavitation within the water in the paddy field, thereby generating bubbles that impact the said pests.
